9. I
need Adobe Acrobat to edit/create PDF files, how do I get it installed
on my pc?
Check your Application Launcher and look for the icon called "Install Acrobat 7". If you have this icon launching it will install Adobe Acrobat 7 on your computer. If you don't have the icon contact your Administrator and they can help you obtain the software. A license must be purchased for $30 from College Park as the Department does not supply licenses for Acrobat 7. We also offer a free program that will convert any file to pdf format. Look for an icon called 'Install PDFCreator" in your Application Launcher. If the icon is not there, the program may be installed already or Adobe Acrobat is already installed. If the program is installed, it will show up as a Printer on your computer named PDFCreator. When you're ready to convert a file to pdf format, choose print from the program and select PDFCreator from the printer list. |

Firefox has some neat features that Internet Explorer doesn't. Check it out and see if you like it. You can import your IE bookmarks by opening Firefox and choosing File-Import and then select Internet Explorer.
