GroupWise Remote Access

Remote access to GroupWise is available using the GroupWise Client software (Windows, Macintosh, Linux), a web browser or a wireless PDA. All users must follow Campus IT policies when connecting to GroupWise from off campus.  Please choose your preferred remote access method for more details. If you have problems please contact Ed Heiger or enter a Helpstar request.

WEB ACCESS

- Access GroupWise using a Web-browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox(recommended)

Requirements     |    Web access user guide

1. Open your web-browser to one of the following links.  Use the most appropriate site for performance reasons, however you may use either site as a backup.

MEDICINE - https://medicine.umaryland.edu

EPI -  https://epi.umaryland.edu

*****You may also use https://smail.umaryland.edu as a last resort******

2. Enter your username and password and press Login.  

 

Vista/Internet Explorer 7

Please make the following change if webaccess does not work:

1. Open Internet Explorer 7
2. Click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
3. Make sure Use SSL 2.0 is checked
4. Click OK
5. Restart IE 7.
